For over 30 years, Dr. Kishore Sunkara has been helping patients throughout the Greater Fort Worth area to address their psychological needs with Psychiatric treatment that encompasses medication management and brief psychotherapy. From his private practice in Hurst Texas, Dr. Sunkara specializes in helping patients deal with issues including anxiety, social anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attention deficit hyperactive disorder in children & adults, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, and panic attacks, bipolar disorders & schizophrenia.


Dr. Sunkara completed his psychiatric adult residency training at Michigan State University and completed his fellowship training in child & adolescent psychiatry at Michigan State University in Lansing, Michigan.

Dr. Sunkara provides an attentive and customized approach to mental health care, combining a variety of practices ranging from psychotherapy and medication management. He strongly believes that medication should be the last resort to treat patients with psychiatric illness. Starting during her combined residency in both psychiatry and internal medicine, Dr. Gardner adopted a holistic approach to patient care, recognizing the fundamental importance of addressing the complete spectrum of human health. Her unique perspective allows her to treat patients comprehensively, considering not only the symptoms of mental illness but also the underlying physiological factors contributing to these conditions.
